IATBR Executive Board
The IATBR Executive Board is comprised of individuals reflecting the diversity of the field and the international nature of the general membership. Elections are held at the end of every odd year (once every two years) thus ensuring that new perspectives are brought into the Association's leadership on a consistent basis. The Election is generally coordinated by the Secretary/Treasurer of the Association, who conducts an electronic ballot of the membership for all vacant positions in each election cycle. The Secretary/Treasurer calls for nominations from the general membership. Self nominations are welcome. After a two-week nomination period, the Secretary/Treasurer contacts each nominated individual to determine his or her interest to serve in the position for which he or she has been nominated. A nominee does not have to be an IATBR member at the time of nomination, but must join IATBR as a dues paying member if elected to the position. The biographical information of all individuals contesting for various positions in the election is compiled and posted at this site. Only dues paying members are allowed to participate in the election process; a link to the election ballot is sent to all members. The election site is generally open for a period of three weeks after which the secretary/treasurer compiles and certifies the results. The secretary/treasurer presents the results (electronically) to the Board, which in turn ratifies the election returns. The secretary/treasurer then informs the general body of the results of the election. All provisions of the constitution are followed in declaring the winners of each election.
